Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept health insurance?

We are out of network with all insurance companies. Being out of network provides the opportunity for numerous benefits, including the ability to prevent diagnoses on your record, the ability to alter duration of sessions, and the ability to remain active in services until you decide your completion date. However, insurance will often provide reimbursement for some, if not all, of the cost toward out of network benefits. We will gladly provide a copy of a "superbill" for completed services, which you can provide to your insurance company for processing, should you wish. I cannot guarantee repayment from your insurance plan. Payment is requested at the time of service. Should cost be of concern to you, sliding fee options are available!

What are rates for therapy services?

Intake sessions - $150 per 50 minute session

Individual sessions - $120 per 50 minute session

Family/Couples Sessions - $130 per 50 minute session

Please note, sliding scale options are available. Should you be unable to afford full price rates, please let us know and we'll attempt to accomodate your needs!

Why choose online therapy?

Studies have shown that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy, and in some cases, it has provided superior outcomes to in-person therapy. In addition to its effectiveness, online therapy also allows for:

-Convenience: Less wait times, no commute

-Sessions in an environment you feel comfortable in

-Access to specialists outside of your geographic location

-Reduced risk of transmitting or contracting communicable diseases

What do I need to participate in online therapy?

You will need access to a smart phone or computer with camera access and a strong internet connection. You will receive a link to join the secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy room prior to session.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged a missed session fee. Missed appointments will be charged the full session fee of session. By not canceling your appointment, this charge will occur and is further stated within your intake paperwork.

What is a Good Faith Estimate (GFE)?

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

-You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

-Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

-If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

-Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
